A sugary blue

These are two polishes that i got from my bff for my birthday. The lighter blue is pure ice french kiss and the darker blue is pure ice all night long. I love these colors. Though the formula for french kiss is a little wanting. Its a bit goopy and sometimes leaves streak like areas where the polish doesnt go. though it does cover in two coats and drys pretty fast.
On top of the blues i used sinful colors smokin hot, an iridescent glitter that drys in a matte fashion. It makes my nails look like theyre covered in sugar.
All Night Long is a new favorite for sure. If a dark teal with shimmer that is quite exquisite. Even before being covered with glitter. I used one coat of this polish over one coat of french kiss. Well i hope you enjoy and have a perfectly polished day!!!

A simple french

Since im allowed to do french manis for work i decided why not. I also cut my nails from the lovely long squared beauties they were because both my thumbs and anothr finger broke and for some reason i really like short nails. Even though i only did these last night i think im going to cover tgem anyway because i dont really like them.
I added a heart to my accent nail for the heck of it.
For the nude color i used a pen like polisb that i got on sale called in the nude and my white so easy striper.
Then for some fun i attached stick on rinestones on my fingers to add some bling. They feel so cool on. So i hope you like them more than i do and have a perfectly polished day!!!

Photo Spam Day

Since my nails must be unpainted for Saturday I though today would be a great day to show you some random photos that were sitting idely on my computer. The first I got off the interenet but the rest I took with either my old phone or camera. My ultimate favorite is the second picture which is from a chem experiment that we took to add to our lab. It looks so cool!!! And it makes me wonder why my phone and camera dont  always take awesome photos. So anyway enjoy and I hope your day is perfectly polished!!!

Finally some real nail art

I have finally done nail art that i am 100 percent proud of. Even with my non dominant hand. I watched Chalkboard Nails leopard print tutorial and was inspired and slightly dubious  I didn't think such awesomeness was as easy as she said. So of course I had to try it.
I did use my dotting tool (a pencil with a dressmaker pin stuck in the eraser) for the bigger blobs. But i used a smaller stick that i had  for the outline since I couldn't get the dotting tool to work. It's basically a shish kabob stick that you put meat on but i decorated it.
I used Claire's Rain Drops as my base. I love this grey, it has a blue undertone and is opaque in only two coats. The dry time is a little longer, but so worth it. I also used a base coat which is pictured with rain drops.
For the bigger blob I used a mini OPI that I call Hot Purple (the real name is lost to me since i threw out the package thinking the name would be on the bottle), Spoiled Distant Memory (which i got for christmas), and Wet n Wild megalast Bite the Bullet. I love all these colors so much. Hot Purple is a beautiful hot pink with a purple tone to it. Distant Memory is a blue turquoise with a light shimmer and Bite the Bullet is a dusty grey purple that I love to pieces. I then used black to outline the bigger blobs.
The best part about  this mani is how well all these colors go together!!! They are amazing!!! And now that I learned how easy leopard print can be I must try the ikat and more interesting nail art. Thank you Calkboard Nails for making nail art easy.
I hope you enjoy and have a perfectly polished day!!!

Holiday sprinkles

I love after christmas sales, especially at places that sell polish. I got this bottle at first because it lights up and second because i love glitter jelly combos yet barely have any.
This polish has multi shaped and colored hex glitters. There are pink, light blue, green, silver, orange and yellow. I may be missing one or two though.
Overall i used a base coat of a sheer wet n wild, three coats of this polish that i named sprinkles and a top coat of wet n wild wild shine.
I love the ending look since its basically a jelly sandwhich in a bottle but i wish i had layered it over a color so it would show up a little better.
Well all for now, enjoy and have a perfectly polished day!!!

Finished black and silver

Well i finished the look i started with ky first black and silver nail. Each nail has three coats of hd and a coat of electric taped in a random design. Over the black polish and silver gliters there is a top coat of wet n wild wild shine. One of my favorite top coats so far.
Well i hope you enjoy and have a perfectly polished new year!!!

Milani hd

I finally got my hands on holo polishes!!! I got three of the milani golohraphic 3d polishes, hd, hi res and cyberspace.
So faf ive only tried hd and even though the holo isnt as extreme as in some polishes im already in love!!! Its definietly better without a top coat though, just so you know. It seems the matte like finishes make the holo appear stronger then when a glossy top coat is added.
To get it opaque it needs three coats. Unless you try for two thick ones. I prefer medium coats so that they dry relatively faster.
I was also pleasantly surprised about the dry time. It was faster than average.
Well thats all for now. Soon il be posting my finished semi look. Enjoy and have a perfectly polished new year!!!

Black and silver 1

I have a party coming up that i want the perfect mani for and i think this is a pretty good one. I got lucky today and was able to get three milani holographic polishes. I used three coats of HD. I love this polish. It might not be the best holo but its amazing either way.
I used a nail tip for a french mani and used it to make a reverse mani. Then i used hex glitters from an old wet n wild polish called crystal to make the nail look more finished.
I love the result of this first trial wo much that i might not do another though i think ill use the blue one on my accent nail to make the look even more interesting.
I hope you enjoy and have a perfectly polished new year!!!

Triangle fun

Well i couldnt leave my nails alone. So my friend just got me a few pure ice polishes and electric is one. So to avoid doing a whole new base i used electric to create triangles with scotch tape. I have to use shiny tape because the matte one tends to rip when i pull it off ruining my designs.
I love this polish and for the price pure ice is a steal of a brand. I cant wait to try the other ones she got me!!!
Oh and for the record these triangles were created with only one coat of electric and no topcoat! So i hope you enjoy and have a perfectly polished new year!!!
