Day 1: Red/ Red Jelly Flowers

Used:
*Orly, orlon basecoat
*Wet n wild, Caught Red Handed
*Wet n wild, French White Creme
*Maybelline, Twilight Rays

Day one begins today with a red mani. I originally planned to do something else but then I had to shorten my nails so that wouldn't work as well. When I thought up this idea though I just knew I had to try it. So here it is, I hope you enjoy and have a perfectly polished day!!!
P.S. Dont forget to check out the other awesome 31 day challenge looks!!!

*Orly, Orlon Basecoat
*Orly, Twilight (shimmer)

Push and Shove, Again

Used:
*OPI, lay down that base
*OPI, Push and Shove (2 coats)

This is a post to show how awesome this polish looks on longer nails and by itself. I actually wore this, BY ITSELF for about four days. I rarely if ever wear a polish by itself. If I do I tend to add nail art after a day or two. This I wore plain and took of plain.
So I wanted to give you some quick tips for using this polish that I found helpful to remember:
1. Use a base coat.
Now lay down that base is great, but it shows a lot of imperfections on your nails. Personally I think this stuff looks the best when you have an almost full mani under it. Of course this takes more time to dry, but it does have a very high shine and shows only the imperfections that show on whats under it.
So I would say to do this. Apply a coat of ridge filler. Apply a coat of regular base. Then apply a coat of lay down that base or Push and Shove. Lay down that base makes it dry faster but is also matte, therefore less shine than with a shiny base coat.

2.Apply ONE stroke at a time.
Do NOT go back and try to fix the polish by smoothing it with another coat. Especially if your using a different base coat. The polish will bead and crack and you'll have to start all over again.

3.This stuff dries fast, especially with Lay down that Base beneath it.

4.This is like jewelry for your nails, have fun with it.

5. This is also a great polish for nail art.

6.Shake the bottle gently before you use it so that you get the best opacity.
This polish can be a one coater.

So enjoy and have a perfectly polished day!!!!

#31DC2014

The 31 day challenge is set to begin on Sept.1st again and this year I'm going to try and at least complete all the looks. I'm a full time college student during September so that means that I'm going to have to space out the days and it might turn into a two month challenge, but I feel that since I never did it before I should at least give it a shot. So in case anyone else is wondering what it's all about here's the link to Chalkboard Nails post about the upcoming event along with one of her new pics that displays all the days!!!!

I hope you enjoy seeing all the fabulous nail art that will definitely result and that you may even think of doing a few days. I just hope I manage to get every day done! So enjoy and like always have a perfectly polished day!!!!

Hi Again!

Just in case you noticed, I updated my page and url name. I wanted to try and make my blog a little fancier and give it a slightly catchier name. So sorry if you get confused! I didn't mean to do that and I hope you still enjoy my blog and

Keep It Perfectly Polished Everyday!!!

Push and Shove

Used:
*wet n wild, ridge filler
*OPI, lay that base (1 coat)
*OPI, Push and Shove (1 coat)

This was my first full mani with push and shove. I know most bloggers have already showed you it but I was late to the party cause I wanted to get it on sale and also because I forgot to post it. I've used Push and Shove since and have gotten much more used to it.
But for this I'll tell you my first impression. So, I loved the result but hated the application. It was a pain. I had to be really careful and usually I could only get one swipe in per nail. If I tried another the polish would get all icky. But the result was pretty AMAZING. Totally worth the extra work.
I also added a top coat the second day to slow down the tip wear, which does occur extremely fast with this polish. The top coat diminished the shine by a ting, but it made it last and stopped the extreme tip wear from occuring to the nails that hadnt already started.
So overall it's definitely worth it, especially if you get it on sale!
I hope you enjoyed, sorry for the loads of words and have a perfectly polished day!!!

A subtle glitter

Used:
* orly, orlon bascoat (1 coat)
* orly, twilight (1 coat)

I decided to post this to show that sometimes just a basecoat and some simple glitter can make your nails look awesome. I actually wore this for a few days cause I loved how it looked.
So I hope you enjoy and that you have a perfectly polished day!!!

Julie G Jet set top coat

Swath / Review

Okay I normally don't do swatches but for the sake of having more posts I'm going to try and add some in. Today I want to talk about this amazing top coat by Julie G, called the JetSet quick-dry top coat. Now I haven't time how fast it dries but I know that it dries pretty dang fast. And I would same that in about 60 seconds its dry to the touch, though you can feel it hardening seconds after you put it on. And I would say if you give it about maybe five-ten minutes it's basically completely dry.
It is also an amazing easy to use formula that is thin BUT plumps the nails and can smooth out the nail polish underneath quite nicely. Or at least it has for the last few manis I've used it on. So since I can't really show you what the top coat looks like by itself, since it would just look like my regular nail. I'm gonna put some pics of looks I finished with it.
I would also like to mention that the price is pretty amazing. For the 0.35 fl oz it's around $3.99 depending where you get it. And you can get it on her website, https://www.jessesgirlcosmetics.com/product/top-coat/jet-set-quick-dry-497.
So I hope you enjoy and if you have any questions feel free to post them below and have a perfectly polished day!!!
