A Kiss of Cheetah

Used:
*Kiss, Cheetah nail wrap
*Formula X Press pod, Legend (2 coats)
*Formula X, Neon Top Coat (1 coat)

So I recently bought the 24 press pod kit from Sephora for a steal of $8.99 with some foundation that I needed. I also had a coupon which made it even better. So now I have 24 press pods to play with and this is the one I decided to play with first. The color is a deep purple with pink and blue glitter. I love it! In some lights it even looks luminescent. The application was as always with these press pods a little wonky. I managed a full coat on all and two coats on some before I broke out the metal nail file.
Instead of trying to force the polish out through the brush area I cut the bottom open and poured the polish out, then I used the brush to brush it on. It was so much easier, but I would recommend that you only do this for the second coat cause once you open it you cant put it down anywhere and the polish inside may start drying.
The other problem with these is that the brush gets very dry very fast and its not the best. Its very stiff and unforgiving. I wish they would have tried to make them a little softer than the traditional brush do to the fact that the polish tends to dry a bit on it in between coats. Actually I wish they made the tops so that you could put them back on in between coats or when your done cause there's usually always polish left and I hate having to waste it and throw it out. Especially since I love most of the colors.
Well that's all for now, I hope you enjoy and have a perfectly polished day!!!

*Sally Hansen, Grey Area
*CQ, Mint Green
*Essie, Mojito Madness
*Avon, Loving Lavendar
*Sinful Colors,
*Sally Hansen, Petal Pusher
*Milani, Raving Orchid

Sage Leather

Used:
*Maybelline, Ageless Olive (2 coats)

This was just a simple swatch. I love how's this polish looks but since it's a matte finish it gets tip wear relatively fast. So i hope you enjoy and have a perfectly polished day!!!

Striped

Used:
*Maybelline, Coral Crush (2 coats)
*Sally Hansen, white striper
*Sally Hansen, Grey Area (2 coats)
*Julie G, jet set top coat

Here's a quick look with some of my favorite colors. I love Grey Area so much and I wanted to do an opposite accent nail idea. So instead of making the accent neon I made it neutral and everything else kind of a neon. So I hope you enjoy and have a perfectly polished day!!!

Mockingjay Thanksgiving

Used:
*China Glaze, Electrify (1 coat)
*Formula X, Out of Sight (1 coat)
*Julie G jet set top coat (2 coat)

So not only did Mockingjay recently come out but it's also Thanksgiving time and two colors that work well for this time are red and gold, which so happens to be the two colors in The Hunger Games China Glaze polish Electrify from last years collection. So to be in season and almost on trend I took the older polish, added another glitter and ta da. A mixed mani with two purposes!!!
So I hope you enjoy and have a perfectly polished day!!!

Perfectly Tipped

Used:
*Sally Hansen, Petal Pusher (2 coats)
*Sally Hansen, Shell we dance?  (1 coat)
*Sally Hansen, French Manicure white striper
*Orly, Twilight

I have horribly stained nails, I don't know how I manage it but every time I get them nice and healthy I ruin it again by staining them. So since half my nail bed is still yellow and I really wanted to do a french tip I had to be a little creative and use a base color to make it work how I wanted to.
I also used my favorite glitter, Twilight, to add a light dusting to the look which I love!!!
So I hope you enjoy and have a perfectly polished day!!!

Teal and Gold

Used:
*Sinful Shine, At Sea (2 coats)
*Wet n Wild, unknown mini (gold glitter)
*Julie G jet set top coat (1 coat)

This was not only a review on a new product but also a look that I wore for at least a week. I love putting gold and teal together, they work so well together in my eyes. So this was perfect. The teal popped and the formula of this polish was amazing. It has an odd smell to it that most polishes don't have, though that might be because of the gel technology to it. The consistency of the formula was awesome, the dry time was decent and the shine afterward was pretty awesome. I added the top coat a day or two after because sadly the shine doesn't last all that long and the tip wear without a top coat gets to be obvious after a day or two.
I hope you enjoy and have a perfectly polished day!!!

Graffiti

Used:
*Milani, Raving Violet (2 coats)
*OPI, Push and Shove (dry brushed)

This was my attempt for a Halloween mani this year. I don't like doing obvious looks because they just aren't something I would like to wear on a regular day basis.

Day 31: Honor nails you love/ Kitty Cats

Used:
*Sinful colors, wisp (2 coats)
*aeropostale, black polish pen
*wet n wild, french white creme (for appliques)

I have finally finished the 31 Day Challenge!!! It took longer than I would have like, but I finally did it and I think I got some really good manis out of it.
For this I once again used the plastic bag effect to make the kitty and some of the paws. One or two i did by hand. The appliques arent the exact color as the polish beneath which is a bit annoying, but overall i actually like how this looks. I saw this on my facebook one day and knew I had to try it, so here it is.
So i hope you enjoy and have a perfectly polished day!!!

Day 30: Inspired by a Tutorial/ Patchwork Princess

Used:
*Sally Hansen, breezy blue (3 coats)
*sinful colors, peace n love
*so easy stripe rite, white
*so easy stripe rite, pink

So I really wanted to do this look for awhile. Problem is i dont have striping tape. So in the spirit of the nail art challenge I worked hard to make this look freehand. The only thing I disnt add was the dots because I just really liked how it looked without them.
So heres the tutorial along with the pics of my design. I hope you enjoy and have a perfectly polished day!!!!

Day 29: Inspired by the supernatural/ Witchy mirror

Used:
*Wet n wild, Haze of Love (2 coats)
*OPI, Push and Shove (2 coats)
*Aeropostale black polish pen

I have found that sometimes with this polish it's easier to make this polish seem super shiny and mirror like by putting two coats of a great polish under it. This bumps the shine and hides any imperfections on the nail easily. This time I just used what I had on from my last mani. It defiantly worked well on the names that I used it on. The only one without it is my accent nail, it shows a good contrast.
So I hope you enjoy and have a perfectly polished day!!!

Day 28: Inspired by a Flag/ Color guard

Used:
*Wet n wild, Haze of Love (2 coats)
*Formula X, Out of Sight
*Milani, Art of Silver

I didn't want to use a regular country flag cause personally I'm not a huge fan of doing stuff like that. So instead I found this picture of a color guard flag I found on google that looks awesome and used that instead. It also let me use one of my favorite polish colors Haze of Love, which is an amazing deep burgundy with a hint of chocolate brown to it.
So I hope you enjoy and have a perfectly polished day!!!

Day 27: Inspired by Artwork/ Hawaiin Lily

Used:
*Sally Hansen, Petal Pusher
*Sephora, Speed Dating
*Maybelline, Green with envy
*CQ, mint green
*Sally Hansen, Mellow Yellow

Well I went a little odd on this one and decided to play with stuff. I used dry polish to try and make a more layered look so that the petals wouldnt seem as flat as if they were just painted on. I'm not sure how much I like it but I knew I couldn't do a perfect rendition of the piece so I just decided instead to have a bit of fun with the prompt.
I hope you enjoy and have a perfectly polished day!!!
